We haven’t checked in with Johnny Carson in a while – so let’s remedy that with a tasty two-minute clip.

In this edition of A Johnny Carson Moment, our favorite talk show host brings on frequent guest, Joan Embrey and shares a laugh with a talking Myna bird named Howard. The episode originally aired December 17th, 1976.

  1. The Tonight Show was awesome with Johnny Carson. All the great characters: Floyd R. Turbo, Aunt Blabby, Carnac the Magnificent and especially Art Fern (the Slauson cutoff). Johnny was such a quick wit as seen in the clip when he says “Where were you during the monologue.” What a great talent.

    • I wish he was still around. Seemed like he was on forever and would go on forever. Comfort TV.
