Here’s a fascinating bit of forgotten kid’s TV for Funshine Friday. In 1973, ABC aired a program called Saturday Morning Sneak Peek which previewed the cartoons slated for that September. The show was hosted by the comic duo of Jack Burns and Avery Schreiber and the cartoons shown or mentioned included; Super Friends, Yogi’s Ark, Mission: Magic and Lassie’s Rescue Rangers.

Unfortunately, the entire episode hasn’t been posted but thanks to Schreiber’s son, we have 15 minutes of nearly-lost magic to watch. If you ever wanted to see Rick Springfield (with Australian accent still intact) sing while Yogi Bear and the Doritos spokesman danced – now is your chance!
