Mood Music: The Jam, ‘When You’re Young’

How goes your weekend? It’s about to get somewhat better. Here’s The Jam playing one of their lesser-known tunes, “When You’re Young.”

“When You’re Young” (written by Paul Weller) was released as a single in August of 1979 and made it to #17 on the UK Singles Chart (continuing The Jam’s eventual run of 18 consecutive Top 40 singles in Great Britain). The song did not appear on an L.P. until years later. It’s a personal favorite of mine and brings back great memories. Roll the video for a listen – and a look at London in the late 70s.
