“We really move our tail for you.”

Let’s taxi our Daily 70s Spot down the runway. Here we have a Continental Airlines commercial where the company displays how happy they are to shake their hindquarters for you. Spot aired in November of 1974.

Continental is now defunct. The company was sold to United in 2012.

  1. The DC-10 really dates this ad. No US carrier flies them anymore. The only ones you see today are modified (called MD-11s) and are used to fly freight for UPS and FED-EX. A few have also been modified as slurry bombers and they are fighting forest fires in the US. They fell out of favor in the US as passenger planes after the tragic DC-10 crash in Chicago in May 1979.
