“C’mon everybody. Get down. Get with it!” (Shaun Cassidy, ‘That’s Rock ‘n’ Roll,’ 1977)

A very good Monday morning to you. Here’s one to shake the memory banks. It’s Shaun Cassidy performing “That’s Rock ‘n’ Roll” on The Midnight Special in 1978.

I didn’t remember this song until I heard it again, but “That’s Rock ‘n’ Roll” (written by Eric Carmen) first appeared on Shaun Cassidy’s self-titled debut L.P. in 1976. It was released as a US single in ’77 and rose to a high of #3 on the Billboard charts the week of October 22, 1977.
