Happy Funshine Friday, feline friends! Here’s a quick song entitled, “Calculatus Eliminatus” from the Dr. Seuss’ Cat in the Hat TV special.

The Cat in the Hat first aired in March of 1971 and featured singing satirist, Allan Sherman as The Cat, Daws Butler as Karlos the Goldfish and Pamelyn Ferdin as Sally. Fun with math. It happens.

  1. I really miss the Dr. Seuss TV specials. Nowadays the only one we get to see is The Grinch. I remember Horton Hears A Who and the Sneetches. But more than that, I remember school assemblies showing the films of The Cat In The Hat and The Cat In The Hat Comes Back. Remember films in school assemblies? Yeah…

    • Yeah. ‘The Cat in the Hat’ is so short and filled with something interesting every few seconds. Really zips by.

At the community center I used to go to after school in the 70s they’d get out the projector and show films. Good stuff like old Laurel and Hardy shorts and ‘Skater Dater’ (1965 skate board movie).
