“Walking hand-in-hand with the one I love…” (Neil Sedaka, 1975)

Neil Sedaka first released “Laughter in the Rain” in the spring of 1974 where it hit the top 20 in the UK. Released later that year in the US, the song eventually climbed the Billboard “Hot 100,” hitting #1 in February of 1975.

Here’s Sedaka performing “Laughter in the Rain” (which he co-wrote with Phil Cody) on The Midnight Special. Although the video below is listed as ’74, the performance is likely from Sedaka’s hosting of the show which aired on Feb.14, 1975.
