“Now, your little ones can play with these wonderful, whacky Dr. Seuss characters.”

Today through Friday I’ll be posting a series of Mattel toy ads that ran together in a 5-page LIFE spread. These are too cool not to share. Stay tuned.

Daily 70s Ad #23: Mattel – Dr. Seuss Toys originally appeared in the November 13, 1970 issue of LIFE magazine.

  1. While not Dr. Seuss, I did have a See ‘N’ Say Book “Little Fun Bugs”, and the ever popular See ‘N’ Say toy, “The Bee Says”. But I had the early version w/o the arrow. The bee’s stinger was the pointer. My cousin had “The Farmer Says” w/ the farmer’s finger being the pointer.
