“Midas built a business for people who can’t wait.”

Today, I’ve got two car-related commercials (from February and November of 1977) starring Herb Edleman. First, a spot for Midas and after that, one for Texaco.

1970s folks will best remember Edleman from his starring role in TVs’ Big John, Little John (’76) and films such as The Way We Were (’73) and California Suite (’78). In the 80s, Edelman had reoccurring roles on St. Elsewhere and The Golden Girls.

Edleman also co-starred in the 1968 TV series The Good Guys – which coincidentally (or perhaps intentionally) is the theme of the Texaco spot below. Enjoy.
