“They call it ‘Pennzoil PZL.’ I call it a winner.”

A grand Saturday to everyone. Let’s roll right into the vintage commercials. Today, we’ve got a pair from January, 1979 (produced in 1978).

Firstly, Ken Stabler (who, unfortunately, passed away last month) of the Oakland Raiders for Pennzoil. Stabler, aka “The Snake,” was AFC player of the year in 1974 and ’76 and led the Raiders to a Super Bowl victory in ’77.

Following that, a spot featuring mountaineer, Sir Edmund Hillary for the American Express card. Don’t leave the site without watching it.
