Cassette tapes are hot right now, so let’s take a look back at the magic of portable tape recorders. This spot from Panasonic aired in November of 1977.

As a kid I went around recording all sorts of voices and music on portable recorders. A few tapes of which have actually survived. (That reminds me – I’ve gotta transfer those things to digital files one of these days.)
