70s Spots: Robert Blake For STP (1977)

Mickey Blake from the ‘Our Gang’ comedies – all growed up and driving a cool 70s van.

“I take good care of my wheels on account of I’m cheap.”

Sometimes I have second thoughts about posting old commercials starring folks that turn out to be not-so-perfect human beings. But, the pop history is worth remembering – so on with the show.

Here’s two STP gas treatment spots starring Robert Blake of Baretta fame. The gas station spot aired in November of 1977. The motocross clip in September ’77. And you can take dat to da bank.
