70s Spots: Hamburger Helper & Morton Lite Salt (1974)

“You can get tired of hamburger – but you’ll never get tired of Hamburger Helper.”

Here’s a pair of commercials that aired in February 1974 and may have been produced a bit earlier in ’73.

First, a spot for Hamburger Helper with a recognizable actor playing a butcher. Please help me out with a name. It’s not coming to me. *Update: It’s Eddie Barth.

Next, a Morton Lite Salt commercial with gameshow host, Jim Perry sporting a head of salt-and-pepper hair. I see what they did there.
