“I like the candy!”

Two Sears commercials can be found below. First up, some customer testimonials including a child’s enthusiasm for the candy department. The spot aired in November of 1977. Second, a spot from June ’77 featuring an “Appliance Spectacular.”

We visited our local Sears store fairly often when I was a kid in the Seventies. I don’t remember a candy section (which seems remarkable, so maybe it didn’t exist), but I always made a beeline for the toy department while my mom shopped.
