  1. Was Checkerboard entrees a regional thing? I probably live in the past more than the present & I just can’t remember this line of frozen foods. Well, if anything tastes 70s it’s chicken ala king 🙂

    • Not sure if Checkerboard was a regional thing. I seem to have a very vague memory of it but that may just be because their logo looks like Purina’s.

      In fact, pure speculation here, but I wonder if Purina sued them or bought them out. Or if their company was short-lived because consumers saw the logo and thought of pet food!?
