A pair of chewable commercials today from 1976. First, an animated spot for a Wendy’s restaurant Grand Opening in Ohio. This’un aired in September of ’76.

Second, a commercial for the Hungry Bull restaurant from the Atlanta, Georgia area. This’un aired in January 1976 (so it’s likely a 1975 creation). Eat up!

Two spots for the Ford Torino Brougham now. First, Hugh Downs (still going strong at the age of 96 by the way) drives a carpool around Hollywood, CA.

Second, a young man takes “Cleopatra” on a date in his special “chariot.” Both spots aired in December of 1973.

A pair of ABC TV promos from November of 1972 for you today. First up, Owen Marshall, Counselor At Law starring Arthur Hill and Lee Majors. Majors eventually left the series to focus on his new hit, The Six Million Dollar Man. His replacement on Marshall? David Soul.

In second position, a spot for the Wednesday Movie of the Week, The Crooked Hearts, starring Rosalind Russell, Douglas Fairbanks Jr., and Ross Martin. This was to be Russell’s last film. She passed away in 1976.
