On Saturday we had a double-shot of cereal commercials. For the Sunday 70s Spot, we have a Ford vehicle two’fer.
Here’s former Chicago Bears linebacker, Dick Butkus for Ford Vans, followed by a spot for Ford F-150 pickup trucks. Roll it!

It’s Saturday morning. I see you’ve gotten up early to fix yourself a heaping bowl of cereal and switch on some cartoons.
The Honeycomb gang laugh it up with Gag Trophies. (Honeycomb commercial, 1977)

Here’s a double-dose of Post cereal fun with Super Sugar Crisp (featuring Sugar Bear voiced by Gerry Matthews) and Honeycomb cereal (with Scott Baio of Happy Days fame). Both spots aired in 1977.

To lead us into the weekend we have a short, sweet and melancholy tune from Stanley Donen’s 1974 movie version of The Little Prince.
The Little Prince motion picture was based on the 1943 novella by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry and in the clip below we find the Rose (Donna McKechnie) serenading the Prince (Steven Warner). Lyrics and music are by Lerner and Lowe. Have a fantastic Funshine Friday!
