Greased Lightning hit theaters in July of 1977. The movie, based on a true story, was directed by Michael Schultz (Car Wash, Cooley High) and stars Richard Pryor as the first black stock car racing champ, Wendell Scott.

“Long Tall Glasses” (which you may remember better by its chorus of ‘I can dance’) hit #9 on the US Billboard “Hot 100” and #4 on the UK charts. The song appeared on Sayer’s second L.P., Just a Boy, of October, 1974. Get ready to dance along.
