Here’s the opening for Sid & Marty Krofft’s Electra Woman and Dyna Girl. The show appeared as 12 minute (or so) episodes within The Krofft Supershow and originally ran from September 11, 1976 to September 2, 1977.
Electra Woman was played by Days of Our Lives‘ Deidre Hall and Dyna Girl was portrayed by Room 222‘s Judy Strangis. Norman Alden, voice of Aquaman on Superfriends, played Professor Frank Heflin. Happy Funshine Friday!

Here’s a nice pair of Rollerball spots from the Summer of 1975. The first short appears to be a TV spot, while the second, a longer trailer, may have been shown theatrically. The movie, released on June 25th, 1975, imagines our world in 2018 (not far off now) when corporations rule and the people are addicted to televised bloodsports.
It’s a kid’s film right? I always liked this one as it melded Roller Derby, football and sci fi. I’m not sure how well it holds up today. I’ll have to find out. Happy Trailer Tuesday!
Ohio Players 'Love Rollercoaster' The Midnight Special, 1975
Happy Monday, good people. Time to get our week started off right with some funky honey from the Ohio Players. Put your dancin’ heels on and enjoy the ‘Players performing “Love Rollercoaster” on The Midnight Special. “Love Rollercoaster” was released in November of 1975 (and went all the way to #1) so this appearance is likely from the end of ’75 or early 1976.
The rumor went around when we were kids that the “woman” heard screaming on the track was actually killed in the studio or even on a roller coaster. Say what? Not true at all but the publicity couldn’t have hurt. Enjoy!
