Slade’s “Get Down And Get With It” was released in 1971 as a non-LP single and it grabbed #16 in the UK charts, #4 in Holland, and #1 in Denmark. A live version of this “stomp your feet” anthem later appeared on 1972’s Slade Alive! and the studio version landed on the 1973 hits compilation Sladest.

This particular clip is the second appearance of the song on Sesame Street and occurred during season two in 1970. Did you know that “Rubber Duckie”(written by Jeff Moss) was a top 20 tune on Billboard’s “Hot 100” chart in September, 1970? Fact!
