Minnie Riperton’s “Lovin’ You,” from the L.P., Perfect Angel, was released as a single in January of 1975. By April it was #1 on Billboard’s “Hot 100” chart. This soulful tune with the incredible, high-pitched vocals was written by Riperton and Richard Rudolph and produced by Stevie Wonder and Rudolph. You can view what seems to be the official 1975 video below.

Sadly, Minnie Riperton died on July 12, 1979 at the age of 31.
