Mom never brought Wonder Bread into our house, so having gooey, sugary Wonder Bread at a friend’s place always felt like a treat. I sure did like these commercials too. Animated loaves with cartoon voices. In my mind they were screaming, “Eat me! I’m delicious!”

“Public Image” was recorded in the summer of 1978 and released in October of that same year (marking a 35 year anniversary). It hit the top 10 in the UK and sold well in the US via import. The music video below was the first directed by Don Letts (later of Big Audio Dynamite). Play loud.
