A pair of commercials for Zenith Chromacolor television sets today. First up, from September 1970, actor Ron Masak is in the market for a compact model.
Second, a not-scary-at-all clown shows off the virtues of Zenith’s “big screen” sets. This one aired in November of ’72.

Let’s take a cinnamon rolls and coffee break. First, enjoy a spot for Pillsbury’ Poppin’ Fresh Cinnamon Rolls in a commercial featuring actors Dana Hill, Roger Bowen, and Arlene Golonka. The spot carries a copyright of 1978 and aired in September of 1979.
After that, drink up a Folger’s Coffee Crystals testimonial from August ’79.

Happy Monday, fellow nostalgia trip’ers. Traveling is our theme today and to start off we have a commercial for United Airline’s service to Hawaii from December of 1978. Mentally, I must still be a teenager as the dialog in this one makes me chuckle.
After our Hawaiian vacation we take an East Coast Trailways Bus trip in June of ’78.

Let’s sprawl out in the living room and play with some toys. First out of the box, a commercial for Aurora’s AFX Data Race model cars set. This one features a nifty computerized track and aired in November of 1979.
Second, going back a few years earlier to ’77, we have a spot for the little ‘uns. This one has a toddler pining to attend classes with Tomy’s Merry-Go-School Bus.
