70s Spots: TV Guide ‘Bicentennial Issue’ & Youthair Dye (Phil Foster, 1975)

“What have you got to lose? Just the gray in your hair!”

Most folks will likely find this TV Guide “Bicentennial” commercial the more interesting of the two spots today. And it is a nice little time capsule. However, I’m even more drawn to the silliness of Laverne & Shirley‘s Phil Foster showing off his dyed hair and mugging for the camera. Both spots aired in June of 1975.
