Music For Monday: John Lennon, ‘Ain’t That a Shame’ (1975)

In the fall of 1973, and again in the fall of 1974, John Lennon gathered in the recording studio with friends and various session musicians to cut covers of some of his favorite rock ‘n’ roll tunes. The resulting Rock ‘N’ Roll LP eventually released in February of 1975, spawning the hit single “Stand By Me” (US #20, UK #30).

From the same album, let’s have a Monday listen to Lennon’s crackin’ cover of Fats Domino’s “Ain’t That A Shame.”
