70s Commercials: Ford Maverick, Olympia Beer, Lysol, Maxim Coffee (1970-71)

“America’s favorite compact.”

Rolling the years back to the start of the Seventies, we have commercials from 1970 and ’71 displayed. Feast your eyes on spots for Ford Maverick, Olympia Beer (one of the rare instances where I’m re-posting a better quality version of something), Lysol Disinfectant, and Maxim Coffee. As always, I hope you enjoy this classic advertising gold.

FORD MAVERICK COMMERCIAL (1971)

1972 model Ford Maverick 2-door, 4-door, and Grabber commercial featuring a variety of actors (the third is Vernee Watson-Johnson) and a ‘master cylinder’ question. Spot aired October 1971.

OLYMPIA BEER COMMERCIAL (BETTER VERSION, 1971)

Olympia Beer commercial with a focus on Tumwater, Washington and breweries. Spot aired January 1971 (likely produced in 1970). This is a bit better version than the one I posted about seven years ago.

LYSOL FOAMING SPRAY COMMERCIAL (1970)

Lysol Disinfectant Basin, Tub, and Tile cleaner commercial featuring a foaming spray product. Spot aired in 1970.

MAXIM FREEZE-DRIED COFFEE COMMERCIAL (1970)

Maxim Freeze-Fried Coffee commercial featuring a field of ground coffee. Spot aired April 1970.

Previously on 70s Commercials: Hubba Bubba, Oscar Mayer Wieners, Maytag Repairman, AMF (1979)
