“Spinning Wheel Blues” appeared on the band’s 1970 LP Ma Kelly’s Greasy Spoon and was written by the group’s Francis Rossi and unofficial fifth-member Bob Young. Spin it!
Here’s a fine batch of commercials from the year 1979. We have Avery Schreiber starring in one of his many Doritos commercials. This time, its sour cream & onion flavor causing a ruckus. Following that, we’ve got Hungry Jack biscuits, the 1980 Ford pickup, and a “Starts Friday” TV trailer for Rocky II.

Happy Valentine’s Day, one and all. Let’s celebrate (or not, your choice) the day with Johnny Mathis singing “My Funny Valentine” on The Ed Sullivan Show. The performance aired on November 22, 1970.
Mathis first released his version of “My Funny Valentine” on the 1959 LP Open Fire, Two Guitars. Not long after this performance, he released another version on 1971’s Tenderly LP.
All of the fine commercials today aired in 1976. We’ll start off with a classic, fun spot for Diet Rite Cola. You’ll likely remember this excellent campaign once you hear the song.
