Buried Treasure time! Here’s a fine assortment of seventies commercials from across the decade. First, a Continental Airlines spot for service to Hawaii. After that, spots for Plymouth Satellite (with Arthur Godfrey), Gallo Wine, and Proctor & Gamble coupons.

Tyrone Davis released “Turn Back The Hands Of Time” in the first months of 1970 and the single steadily climbed the charts, hitting #3 on the US Hot 100 and #1 on Billboard‘s R&B chart.

“Turn Back The Hands Of Time” was written by Jack Daniels and Bonnie Thompson, produced by Willie Henderson, and originally appeared on the LP of the same name.

Below, you’ll find two clips. The first is an era appropriate (likely 1970) Davis appearance on Soul Train. Good to see the man in motion, but the sound is mono. If you’d like to soak up the song with better quality, the studio recording can be found below that.
