It’s a circa 1973 thing today. Firstly, from somewhere around ’72 to ’74, we have a commercial for Prell Shampoo starring Lauren Hutton. After that, soak in spots for Allstate (with Ed Reimers), Superscope Stereo (with a voice over likely by William Marshall), and the Sears DieHard Battery (with Vern Rowe).

Let’s get into an early Seventies frame-of-mind with a celebrity-filled set of commercials from 1971 and ’72. Firstly, a spot for Uncle Ben’s Rice (with Ed McMahon).

Following that gem, we have ads for Parkay Margarine (with Gordon Jump), Alka-Seltzer (with The Great Gildersleeve aka Willard Waterman), and Romilar III Cough Syrup (with Betty Boop herself, Mae Questel).

Hey there! Apologies for the lack of updates. My home has been a construction site over the past few weeks and our 100-year-old electrical system had to be completely redone. That has been fixed and mostly finished, so I’m back in action and ready to lay some nifty old commercials on you again.

We’ll doing an early Seventies thing this time around with spots for Kraft Chocolate Fudgies candies, Hefty Scrap Bags (with Jonathan Winters), Betty Crocker potato dishes, and Scope Mouthwash. Roll ’em!

We’ll start off with a famous Avon song and move on to spots for Ford Motorcraft parts (starring Muhammad Ali), Ben-Gay Balm, and Dole Pineapple Chunks. All righty! Let’s move forward two decades and roll out an EIGHTIES Week. We’ll start this collection off with a Burger King commercial from 1983 starring Elisabeth Shue (at least, I’m fairly certain it’s her).

Following that charmer, you’ll enjoy ads for Gloria Vanderbilt’s fragrance, Hostess snacks, Betty Crocker cake mix & frosting, Dentyne Gum, Ford pickups, Minute Maid Orange Juice, and KitKat bars. It’s early 80s mayhem!

It’s Sixties Week here at the ‘Disco, and I’ve got a hearty batch of commercials from 1968 and ’69 for you. Our star is a wonderful animated spot for Beech-Nut Gum featuring the voices of John Fiedler and Bob McFadden. This one aired in 1969 but I’ve been told it may date back to ’65.

Following that masterpiece of advertising, you’ll take in spots for Kodak’s Instamatic Movie Camera, Rexall Drug Stores (with Louis Nye), Hunt’s Catsup, Here’s Lucy, Cap’n Crunch’s Crunch Berries Cereal, Swiss Colony Bali Hai Wine, and All Detergent (with Bill Hinnant). Roll ’em!
