Two mid-70s commercials for Dawn dishwashing liquid in the kitchen today. My best guess is these spots aired sometime between 1974-76. The first, features actor Frank Bonner, soon to portray Herb Tarlek on WKRP in Cincinnati.

Here’s two spots from 1978 that go well together. General Foods’ Increda Bubble, a gum inspired by Pop Rocks, and Colgate Fluorigard dental wash. Have a nifty Friday!

Here’s a pair of antiperspirant commercials featuring ancient, environmentally-unfriendly spray cans. The Right Guard spot was produced in 1970 and aired on the first day of 1971. It stars an 18 year old Parker Stevenson of The Hardy Boys. I think the other actor may be Toni Kalem from The Wanderers and The Sopranos, but I’m not sure about that.
The second spot, for Dial, aired in February of 1974.

Two commercials now from McDonald’s classic “You deserve a break” series. The first spot was produced in 1971 and aired on the first day of 1972. The second spot features a symphony orchestra and aired in September of 1974.

*I don’t think I’ve ever mentioned here that I’ve been a vegetarian for over 30 years. So, I’ll just dish out a double portion of bundt cake!

Here’s a pair of twice-brewed Schaefer Beer commercials from April of 1976. The first spot touts the brand’s “Old World” brewing style. The second spot takes places at a boxing match with a mildly aggressive, mustachioed patron.
